Report Cards:
Today report cards should be sent home in Friday Folders. Please look for them and email your teacher with questions or concerns, and keep them for the virtual conference coming up. There also may be a NWEA assessment sheet to show where your child scored on our latest reading and math assessment. This should also be kept for the conference.

Parent Teacher Conferences:
Spring conferences are quickly approaching and I wanted to communicate to parents that we will once again be using an online tool, PTCFast, for scheduling conferences. This will be for Face to Face students attending Zinser. PTCFast continues to be an effective way to schedule conferences quickly as well as provide parents with more of a choice as to when their child’s conferences will be held. In addition, PTCFast has cut back on our paper usage and provides parents with a reminder prior to their child’s scheduled conference.

For safety precautions, we will be holding conferences virtually through a Zoom or Google Meet Link or a phone conference call. The teacher will send you a link to connect at your scheduled time. Conferences will be 15 minutes long and we ask that you adhere to this time and contact the teacher for further discussion at a later time.

In order to schedule your child’s/children’s conference(s) simply visit the website below:

http://www.ptcfast.com/schools/zinser_elementary

Conference availability is on a first come, first serve basis so the earlier you login and schedule your conference, the more likely you are to find times that work best for you! If you are scheduling for more than 1 child, please leave at least 15 minutes between conferences.

Conferences are scheduled for:

You will need to submit your child’s/children’s name(s) as well as provide an e-mail address to begin the process, to receive an e-mail confirmation and to receive reminders prior to any conference scheduled. Parents will also be able to print a copy of their schedule if a hard copy is preferred.

If you do not have access to the internet, simply contact the school by phone at 616-453-2461. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or if you have struggles with signing up.

Want to support our teachers? Please use this sign up link to support our teachers with meals during conferences. We appreciate any help you can provide!

REDEFINED

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
